OUR SPORT | Jenson USA employees and customers are dedicated to sustaining cycling as a sport. Many of our customers and employees are passionate participants in local race leagues and group rides. From sponsoring and coaching NICA mountain bike teams nationwide and annual participation in events like the Sea Otter Classic and US Open, we're committed to furthering cycling as a sport in a multitude of ways.
OUR NEIGHBORS | We take pride in knowing our neighbors and are always looking for ways to work together to improve our local community. Each year, our Kommute for Kids initiative provides bikes to elementary school kids in underserved areas. Partnerships with local trail regulators and participation in city cycling advocacy events provide frequent opportunities to contribute our voice and resources. We're humbled by the opportunity to help shape the present and future of bike culture in our area.
OUR FRIENDS | Part of being involved in a thriving community is our partnership with leading organizations that promote bicycle access not just locally but throughout the world. Each year our employees join together with our customers in donating bicycles to World Bicycle Relief on Giving Tuesday. As a member of the IMBA we are able to provide critical input into mountain bike initiatives in our backyard and throughout the world.
OUR FAMILY | The Jenson USA family's reach extends far and wide whether on or off the clock or on or off the bike. We love hearing from employees and customers about the ways they stay inspired to Keep Pedaling. We keep tabs on weekend rides through Social Media and continue to host local monthly rides from our Riverside, California HQ, and Corona, California stores.
The SoCal Interscholastic Cycling League was organized in 2008 to provide a well-defined race season for high school student-athletes and to promote the formation of teams at public and private high schools. In 2014 that grew to include a middle school program designed to introduce middle school-aged riders to the sport of mountain biking focused heavily on skills, fun, fitness, and responsibility with a taste of the competitive aspects of mountain biking. With the cooperation of local race promoters and our sponsors we produce a first-class series of races in addition to providing training for coaches and riders. The League is working to make interscholastic (grades 6-12) racing the easiest way for youth to get involved in the challenging and exciting world of competitive cycling.
There is inadequate diverse representation in Cycling competition, business, media, and development opportunities. To sustainably grow our industry, we must first build authentic foundations of diversity from within that don’t employ superficial or exploitive solutions. With ears on the ground in these communities, we can provide the education, access, and opportunities that directly address the barriers they face. We will start in North America and expand globally, because this is a global problem.
World Bicycle Relief delivers specially designed, locally assembled, rugged bicycles for people in need. We’ve developed an efficient, innovative, and scalable model to help empower communities of students, health workers, and entrepreneurs in rural regions with life-changing mobility.
The International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) is the worldwide leader in mountain bike advocacy, and the only organization in the U.S. focused entirely on trails and access, for all types of mountain bikers in all parts of the country. Since 1988, we have taught and encouraged low-impact riding, grassroots advocacy, sustainable trail design, innovative land management practices and cooperation among trail user groups. IMBA U.S. is a national network of local groups, individual riders and passionate volunteers working together for the benefit of the entire community.
